Lenovo has expanded its S series with the launch of a new smartphone named S660 in India. The mid-range smartphone will come with a price tag of Rs. 13,999. The S660 was unveiled Lenovo at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014. It sports a premium metal design with quad-core performance.
The Lenovo S660 features a 4.7-inch IPS qHD display with a resolution of 960×540 pixels. The dual-SIM phone is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor along with 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out-of-the-box. It hosts an 8MP auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP front-facing camera. The inbuilt storage capacity of the device is 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The connectivity options include- 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, EDGE, GPRS and microUSB. All of this is fuelled by a 3000mAh powerful battery which can deliver up to 36 hours of talktime (2G) and 840 hours of standby time.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Sudhin Mathur, Director-Smartphones of Lenovo India said, “Lenovo is the third largest connected device makers in the world. While, we have expanded aggressively into the global smartphone market in the last two years, we have also kept a close watch on the requirements of smartphone users.”
The recently launched Moto G which falls in the same price range is expected to give the S660 a good competition.
