The latest smartphone from Lenovo, Legion Phone Duel 2, has seen the light of the day in the Chinese market. This is the smartphone introduced next in line with its last year’s Legion Phone Duel, and it will be the second addition to Lenovo’s gaming- smartphone line-up.

The latest addition from Lenovo to its gaming line-up comes with an upgraded chipset, and the rear panel is designed like never before. The panel is not only the home to the camera system, but Lenovo is also offering a dual-fan system to keep the device cooled down during intensive gaming. The Legion logo on the rear is RGB-powered as well.

With a bigger 6.92” AMOLED panel onboard, Legion Phone Duel 2 will produce a resolution of 2460*1080 pixels with a high refresh rate of 144Hz. The panel will also support HDR10+ along with the highest brightness of 1,300 nits. There will also be DC Dimming and an in-display fingerprint scanner for high security. The FHD+ panel will be given the protection of high-end Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The smartphone comes with a significant bulge in the middle section of the rear panel. Along with the RGB-powered Legion logo, the bulge also houses fans to keep it cooled. For the selfie enthusiasts, you will see the same pop-up design as the previous one. The camera will pop from the right side of the smartphone. To give users an immersive experience, Lenovo is offering front-firing Dolby-Atmos stereo speakers. On the smartphone, users will get a total of 4 mics that are there for noise reduction.

At its core, Legion Phone Duel 2 sports top-of-the-line Snapdragon 888, and the top-spec variant has 18 gigs of LPDDR5 RAM paired with 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. With proper ventilation, the smartphone offers dual cooling fans to keep the system running smoothly. Along with fans, the smartphone also has thermal cooling and vapor chamber for even better heat management. The whole package is backed up by dual 2,750 mAh units, a total of 5,500 mAh. Lenovo is also offering quick charge support of 90W.

The dual-camera module on the rear will house a primary sensor of a 64MP lens paired with an ultra-wide 16MP sensor. The pop-up selfie camera will house a big 44MP sensor for clear images and videos.

As it’s a gaming-centric smartphone, Lenovo is offering shoulder buttons along with ultrasonic sensors on the sides. Users will also get the touchpoints on the back that can be configured according to the need. There will be dual USB Type-C ports, one on the side and the other on the bottom, with respect to connectivity. The smartphone will be equipped with 5G, sub-6GHZ WiFi, dual-SIM, GPS, and GLONASS.

Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 price & availability

The latest offering from Lenovo will come in two color options, Ultimate Black and Titanium White. The base variant of Legion Phone Duel 2 with 12/256GB combination will go on sale at a retail price of €799 (roughly ₹70,750), and the higher 16/512GB variant will be available at €999 (~₹88,500). There are no details regarding the price of the top variant disclosed as of now. The smartphone will be available in stores in China by the end of April, and in Europe, it will go on sale in May.
