Lava Confirmed To Launch A Range Of Smartphones Under Made In India Campaign On Jan 7
After some rough years, Lava Mobile is finally making a return to the entry-level and the budget segment of smartphones. For its Indian market, the brand confirmed to reveal a few smartphones in January next year. The news was confirmed by Lava Mobiles’ Business Head & President, Sunil Raina where he said that they are going to reveal something that the smartphone market has never witnessed earlier. The launch is scheduled to be at noon on Jan 7.
The brand came into the limelight earlier this month when it revealed a women-centric Lava BeU smartphone. However, there are no details to confirm whether these upcoming variants will be under the BeU lineup. If we are to believe the reports that were surfaced last week, the brand is expected to launch multiple devices in the price bracket of ₹5,000 and ₹20,000. The homegrown brand is expected to give a tough battle to its Chinese counterparts.
The online-only launch event: January 7
Lava Mobiles released a teaser ahead of its official launch that reveals a few key details. One of the upcoming devices will sport a waterdrop notch and the launch event can be seen live on the brand’s official Facebook and YouTube page.
Another native brand Micromax also recoiled in November this year. Lava Mobiles’ Twitter handle claims that the impending smartphones will sport “innovative features” and will also be “game-changers”.
Earlier, the brand has introduced a few feature phones, dubbed as Pulse and Pulse 1. Both the phones were loaded with health features such as BP monitoring, heart-rate tracking, and a thermometer. Having this track record, Lava Mobiles is expected to launch its upcoming smartphones with a few sensors focused on health monitoring. There are also a few speculations that the brand will reveal a smart band for fitness freaks.
