Lava and Airtel have announced India’s first Android Go-powered smartphone – Lava Z50. Lava had first unveiled the smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona. While it is priced at Rs. 4,400, the phone is effectively available at Rs. 2,400 as part of Airtel’s “Mera Pehla Smartphone” campaign. To avail this cashback, the user must recharge with Airtel’s Rs. 169/month pack for 36 months.
The Lava Z50 is available in Black and Gold colour in over 100,000 retail outlets and online at Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal.
The Lava Z50 comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA of 480x854p resolution. It has a 2.5D Curved Corning Gorilla Glass that protects it from scratches. Lava is offering a one-time free screen replacement on the phone along with a 2-year warranty.
The dual-SIM phone is powered by a 1.1 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and possesses 8 GB of internal storage and 1 GB of DDR3 RAM, expandable to 64 GB with an external microSD card.
Lava Z50 comes with a 5 MP camera with LED flash in the front and rear. Lava has claimed that the camera is high-quality and can even take bokeh photos. In addition, the camera app is empowered with features such as Face beauty, Funny Cam, HDR, Super Night, Video Beauty, Filter, Template, Panorama, GIF Mode, Intelligent Selfie, Sound Picture, and Child Mode.
The Lava Z50 smartphone enables search in 10 major Indian languages including Hindi and facilitates searching of images, weather and translations from search home screen.
