Good news for Apple fans in the country, as iPhone 8 has undergone a heavy price drop. The 64 GB version of the phone, which was launched at a price of Rs 64,000, can now be bought for Rs 54,990. Strangely though, the price cut is only effective on Amazon. At the time of writing this article, Flipkart and other ecommerce websites in India are still selling the handset for either Rs 62,000 or 64,000.
Amazon has also slashed the prices of 256 GB variant of the iPhone 8. It costs has come down from Rs 77,000 to Rs 69,500. Considering that the price of the iPhone X is still hovering over Rs 87,400, you may want to consider buying an iPhone 8 instead.
The iPhone 8 has a stylish glass back. It is a water and dust resistant device. It features a 4.7-inch screen with 750×1334 pixels. It translates to the pixel density of 325 ppi, which is quite disappointing for a premium phone. It is powered by Apple’s A11 Bionic chip. The phone has 2 GB RAM, which is more than enough to handle iOS. Unlike the Plus variant, the iPhone 8 comes with a conventional 12 MP Camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). For selfies, you get a 7 MP shooter. The phone uses Touch ID (fingerprint sensor) for login security.
