Intex Launches Aqua Lions X1 and X1+ With “Shatterproof Displays”

by October 12, 2017

Intex, the domestic manufacturer known for its affordable tablets, launched Aqua lions X1 and X1+. The series name Lions comes from the IPL cricket team Gujrat Lions, which is owned by Keshav Bansal, Director of Intex Mobiles. The highlight of these phones is the use of a shatterproof display. Lenovo’s Moto X Force and Moto Z2 Force also feature “shatterproof displays” but are costlier compared to Intex’s offering. These screens are more resilient to the damage than the conventional panels. But, they are not really shatterproof. Which is why Intex offers a complimentary 1-year screen replacement guarantee.

The Intex Aqua Lions X1 and X1+ share the design language. You get a 5.2-inch HD IPS displays with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. These are powered by a quad-core CPU. The X1 comes with 2 GB RAM + 16 GB internal storage combo while the X1+ comes with 3 GB RAM + 32 GB internal storage combo. You can add more storage, via a microSD card slot.

Intex mobiles are not really known for photography prowess, but the 13-MP camera should be decent for the price. For selfie-addicts, there’s a 5-MP front shooter. These phones run Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box. Intex has pre-loaded these devices with Prime videos, MiFon Security, and Swift key.

The Aquad Lions X1 and X2+ come in a dual-SIM avatar with 4G VoLTE support. The fingerprint sensor placed at the back doubles up as a shutter button for clicking pictures. Available in Black, Blue, and Champagne, the Aqua Lions X1 is priced at Rs 7,499. The X1+ will cost you Rs 8,499.
