After the launch of Infinix Smart 5, Hot 10S will be the second device to be launched in the Indian market this year. The former was launched in February. Infinix has also priced its latest reveal quite aggressively and it will be the most affordable Infinix smartphone featuring 90Hz display.

The chipset used by Infinix here is a gaming-centric MediaTek Helio G85 and it is also packed with a huge battery pack. Launched at a price tag of ₹9,999, Infinix Hot 10S will compete with the likes of Galaxy F12, Redmi 9 Prime, Moto G30, and Galaxy M12.

Infinix Hot 10S: Key specs & features

With a larger screen size of 6.82”, the IPS LCD panel will come with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The aspect ratio will be 20.5:9 and it will produce HD+ resolution. With a contrast ratio of 1500:1, the panel will come with 180Hz touch sampling rate and 90Hz refresh rate. The front camera will come with a front-firing dual LED flash, as well.

Talking about the camera, the punch-hole cutout will house an 8MP sensor that will support AI portrait, 3D face beauty, timelapse, 2K video recording, night mode and more. On the rear, Infinix Hot 10S features a triple-camera system with a primary sensor of 48-megapixel. The sensor will have a fixed aperture of f/1.79. The 48MP sensor will be paired with a 2MP mono lens along with an AI-enabled camera. The camera app comes with features such as scene detection, night mode, portrait mode, 2K video recording, slow-mo recording, and HDR.

The smartphone will draw its power from MediaTek’s Helio G85 SoC paired with 6 gigs of RAM. The onboard storage on Infinix Hot 10S will be 64GB along with a dedicated slot for a microSD card. On the software front, it will boot on Android 11 with a custom XOS 7.6 on the top. To make it suitable for gaming, Infinix has equipped it with Dar-link AI engine technology.

The battery capacity on this sub-₹10,000 smartphone is 6,000 mAh and the brand claims to offer a continuous talktime of 76 hours, music playback up to 182 hours, and up to 27 hours of video playback. Users will get Type-C support and it will allow you to charge the device up to 18W. The smartphone will also come with AI face unlock and a fingerprint scanner on the back. Some connectivity options are dual 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 5, 3.5mm audio port, and GPS.

Pricing and availability

Infinix has not yet made anything official but Hot 10S is expected to come in multiple color options such as Morandi Green, 7-degree Purple, Heart of Ocean, and 95-degree Black. The smartphone will come in 4/64GB and 6/64GB storage combinations priced ₹9,999 and ₹10,999, respectively. It will go on sale through Flipkart on May 27. As an introductory offer, Infinix is offering a flat ₹500 discount on the first day of the sale.
