Huawei’s quad-camera smartphone Honor 9 Lite has finally landed in India. The Chinese company continues its aggressive pricing strategy to take on the Xiaomi. The Honor 9 Lite is its second quad camera device after the Honor 9i. The Honor 9 Lite comes 3 GB RAM / 32 GB and 4 GB RAM / 64 GB variants. The base model is priced at Rs 10,999, while the 4 GB version costs Rs 14,999. It will be available exclusively on Flipkart and Honor India Store via flash sales. The first sale will commence on January 21 at 12 pm. The Honor 9 Lite will be available in Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black, and Glacial Grey options.

The phone has a premium glass back, which resembles the Honor 8. It sports a 5.65-inch IPS FHD+ full-screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass display. Owing to the minimum bezel design, the phone is compact and therefore ideal for single-handed usage. It is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC (System on Chip), which also underpins the Honor 7X and Honor 9i. It is equipped with 3 GB / 4 GB RAM and will come in 32 GB / 64 GB storage options. The phone has a microSD card slot too.

On the photography front, it sports dual-camera setups at both the front and rear in a 13 MP + 2 MP config. The rear horizontally stacked camera sensors are reminiscent of the iPhone 8 Plus and are accompanied by an LED flash. The front shooters make do with a soft screen flash light.

The Honor 9 Lite is a dual-SIM smartphone with VoLTE calling support. It comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS / GLONASS. The sensors on-board include accelerometer, ambient light, compass and a proximity sensor. Like the Honor 7X, it seems to miss out on the essential Gyroscope sensor. The Honor 9 Lite comes shod with a 3000 mAh battery and runs on Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box.
