Huawei P30, P30 Pro Will be Launched by March End in Paris: Company Confirms

by February 7, 2019

Huawei launched its P20 and P20 Pro smartphones last year in March and so the company was speculated to launch the successors P30 and P30 Pro by March 2019. There is now an official confirmation on the same as Huawei has stated in a press release that the P30 and P30 Pro will be launched by the end of Q1 2019 instead of at MWC 2019 scheduled for February in Barcelona, Spain.  The press release did not reveal any other details about the upcoming phones, but it did state that the company plans to hire one hundred employees at its Poland division.

The company may have taken the decision to skip the MWC and hold a separate event for its P30 series to avoid getting overshadowed and ignored as several brands launch their latest offering during the event. Notably, Huawei will be present at the MWC 2019 and will be using the platform to announce its first foldable smartphone enabled with 5G connectivity.

P-series phones are typically targeted the consumers who are more concerned about the design and camera capabilities. Based on the leaks in the past, the P30 is expected to feature the same triple rear camera setup as seen on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. It is expected to sport an OLED screen with a waterdrop-style notch at the top and an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The display size of P30 is speculated to be 6.1-inch while the P30 Pro is expected to feature 6.5-inch display. The phones could be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC along with 8GB or 12GB of RAM.

As per leaked renders published by SlashLeaks, the Huawei P30 Pro will feature a Leica branded camera with three lenses aligned vertically at the top left corner and a fourth lens placed on its side.

We should take the leaks with a pinch of salt. We are still a month away from the launch of the P30 series and we can expect a few official teasers in the meanwhile which will help us connect the dots. Stay tuned to CompareRaja for all the latest updates on upcoming Huawei P30 and P30 Pro.
