Huawei Nova 4eChina-based handset maker Huawei launched its Nova 4 smartphone in China in December last year and now the company has launched a new variant of the same in its home town dubbed as Nova 4e. The Nova 4 came with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage, whereas the Nova 4e comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. Highlights of the device include Kirin 710 SoC, triple rear camera module and AI selfie camera. Notably, the Nova 4e is expected to debut as the Huawei P30 Lite in the global markets.

Huawei Nova 4e Price and Availability

The Huawei Nova 4e is priced in China at CNY 2,799 (roughly $417 and Rs. 21,000) for the 4GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage variant and CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs. 24,000) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant. The phone will come in two colour options- White, Black, and Gradient Blue. It will go on sale in China starting March 21, 2019. However, the pre-orders for the same have already begun.

Huawei Nova 4e Features and Specifications

The Huawei Nova 4e sports a 6.15-inch TFT LCD IPS screen with full-HD+ resolution of 2312×1080 pixels. The display features a dew drop shaped notch at the top that houses the selfie camera. The device is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 710 SoC paired with Mali-G51 GPU. The company has also integrated GPU Turbo 2.0 for enhanced gaming experience. In terms of memory, there are two options available for the interested buyers- 4GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 512GB via microSD card. The device runs Google’s latest Android 9 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.0 on top. There’s a 3,340mAh battery underneath to keep things ticking and it has support for 18W fast charging via USB Type-C. The phone can be charged from zero to full in 105 minutes, as claimed by the company. In terms of security, the phone features a rear mounted fingerprint scanner as well as Face Unlock technology.

In terms of optics, the Nova 4e features a triple camera module on the back consisting of a 24MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture + an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera + a 2MP depth sensor. The rear camera features Super Night Scene, Portrait Mode, Pro Mode, Slow-Mo, 3D Dynamic Panorama Mode etc. There’s a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video calls. The selfie camera is backed by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and features Portrait Mode, Smiley Snap, Fun AR, Voice Activated Photo, and more.

Connectivity options included in Huawei Nova 4e are dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, USB Type a 3.5mm headphone jack, and GPS/ A-GPS.
