Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has been teasing the Nova 3 and Nova3i smartphones since last few weeks and now it has finally taken the wraps off the smartphones announcing their pricing and availability details. The highlight of both the devices is its camera set up which consists of four cameras in total i.e. two on the front and two on back. The company also launched TalkBand B5, a fitness band that sports a Bluetooth headset.

The Nova 3 and Nova 3i Pricing and Availability:

The Nova 3 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at 2,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 30,600) and is currently available for pre-orders. It will go on sale today i.e. July 19 via Vmall. It will come in four color options- Black, Blue, Gold, and Purple.

While the Nova 3i 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at 1,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 20,400) and the mid variant i.e. 6GB RAM + 64GB storage is priced at 2,199 Yuan (roughly Rs. 22,500). The top variant is 6GB RAM + 128GB storage but the pricing details of the same have not yet been revealed by the company. It will go on sale in China starting from August 10 and will be available in three color options- Purple, White and Black. Both the phones will be sold via Huawei Mall, major e-commerce sites, authorized experience stores, and other partner retailers in China.

There is no word yet on the availability of the phones outside of company’s hometown China.

The Nova is powered by HiSilicon’s flagship Kirin 970 octa-core processor with a Mali-G72 MP12 GPU and GPU Turbo technology. The RAM of the device is 6GB and internal storage capacity is 128GB, which can be extended further using a microSD card. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 operating system out of the box and bears 6.3-inch IPS LCD FullView Full HD+ display with resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and an ultra-tall aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

It comes equipped with 16MP + 24MP dual rear camera set up and a 24MP + 2MP dual front camera set up. The front camera comes with AI-powered Beauty Mode to help enhance the quality of selfies. It also doubles up as Face Unlock (3D Face Recognition technology) and supports 3D Qmoji as well. For added security, the phone has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. All of this is backed by a 3,750mAh capacity battery with fast charging support.

Connectivity options provided with the device include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, 4G VoLTE, and a USB Type-C port.

The Nova 3i runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box topped with Huawei’s EMUI 8.2. It is powered by comparatively less powerful Kirin 710 octa-core processor along with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of onboard storage. Nova 3i also comes with Huawei’s recently announced GPU Turbo technology which should ensure smooth gaming experience on its large screen. It bears the same display as that of Nova 3 i.e. 6.3-inch FullView display with 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is fueled by a 3,340mAh battery but it doesn’t have fast charging support.

For the camera buffs, there’s a 16MP + 2MP dual camera setup on the back and 24MP + 2MP dual selfie camera set up on the front. For connectivity purpose there’s Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and 4G VoLTE.

TalkBand_B5TalkBand B5 Price and Specifications:

Talking about the other products launched during the event, the TalkBand B5 comes with a pop-up Bluetooth headset that includes dual microphones with noise reduction. It bears a 1.13-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with resolution of 300 x 160 pixels. The display has a layer of 2.5D curved glass on top for added protection. The device is IP67 certified for resistance against dust and water.

In terms of pricing, the TalkBand with Silicon/Rubber belt comes with a starting price of 999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 10,200). Whereas the leather strap model comes with a price tag of 1,199 Yuan (roughly Rs. 12,200). The price for the top variant goes up to 1,499 yuan (roughly Rs. 15,300) which comes with a metal strap.

The company also launched a 360-degree camera priced at 599 Yuan (roughly Rs. 6150). It comes with a USB Type-C port and need to be connected to a smartphone in order to be able to capture photos or videos.
