Huawei has launched the MateBook E 2019 always-connected 4G LTE laptop alongside the launch of its smartphones – Hauwei P30 and P30 Pro. The launch event was held in Shanghai recently while the smartphones were being launched for the Chinese market. The MateBook E 2019 is a 2-in-1 laptop-tablet hybrid the is powered by the Snapdragon 850 chipset. The laptop is a successor of the MateBook E from 2017.

Huawei MateBook E 2019 Specifications

The MateBook E 2019 sports a 12-inch IPS display and offers a resolution of 2,160 x 1,440 pixels. In addition to supporting the 2K resolution, the display screen also supports up to 350-nits brightness, a 160-degree viewing angle and comes with an oleophobic coating. The display screen offers great quality and is certified by TUV Rheinland to ensure that the user’s eyes are protected from blue rays emitted by the display.

The MateBook E 2019 is powered by the Snapdragon 850 processor which is coupled with 8GB of RAM. The laptop tablet hybrid comes in two UFS storage choices of 256GB and 512GB. It is equipped with a 36.3W battery. As per the company, the Matebook E 2019 can work uninterrupted for about 10 hours with 50 percent brightness and continuous video playback. The MateBook E 2019 comes with support for fast charging and it enables users to charge the device to up to 88% power in just 1.5 hours.

The laptop tablet hybrid runs Windows 10 Home edition. The device packs in Huawei Share 3.0 One Touch feature. Due to this feature, users can establish a seamless connection to their smartphones from the device and easily transfer files by simply placing it on the keyboard.

The rear of the MateBook E 2019 comes with a 13-megapixel camera while it also offers a front camera of 5-megapixels. The device is equipped with dual speakers powered with Dolby Atmos and dual SmartPA amplifier to enable an immersive audio experience.

The MateBook E 2019 comes with a host of connectivity options. It supports 4G LTE with 4×4 MIMI antenna for a stronger connection, nano-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11ac with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack. The laptop tablet hybrid is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The MateBook E 2019 measures 278 x 194.22 x 8.5mm without the optional keyboard. It weighs 1.173kg with the keyboard. The company is also selling the M Pen Lite Stylus separately for the MateBook E 2019. What’s more, the keyboard can also function as a kickstand to transform the laptop into a tablet.

Huawei MateBook E 2019 Price and Release Date

The Huawei MateBook E 2019 comes in two colours variants – Titanium Ash and Charm Blue Sea. The 256GB and 512GB storage variants of the device are priced at 3,999 Yuan (which converts to around Rs 41,250) and 4,999 Yuan (which works out to around Rs 51,570) respectively. Both the models are up for pre-orders through the company’s Vmall official online store in China. The company has not yet released any official statement on the global launch and availability of the MateBook E 2019 yet.
