Huawei Mate 20 Pro Goes on Sale in IndiaThe Huawei Mate 20 Pro, the first Mate series smartphone launched in India, is now available for purchase. However, only Amazon Prime users can buy the phone at the moment. Others will have to wait till 12 am IST tomorrow (i.e. December 4) when the phone will be on purchase for everyone. The phone was launched in the country earlier last week at an even held in Delhi.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro price in India is set at Rs. 69,990 for the lone 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant. Available colour options for the buyers are Emerald Green and Twilight. As mentioned earlier, the phone is Amazon exclusive in India. As part of the introductory offer, interested users can buy Sennheiser PXC 550 wireless headphones along with the smartphone at a special price of Rs. 71,990. In addition, Amazon India is offering 10 per cent instant discount with IndusInd Bank Cards and RBL Bank Credit Cards, No Cost EMI on Bajaj Finserv EMI cards and all major credit cards. Huawei will also be launching a special edition Mate 20 RS Porsche Design at a later date.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro Software and Hardware Configuration

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is powered by a flagship Kirin 980 SoC that is based on 7nm process along with a Mali-G76 MP10 GPU, 6GB of and 128GB of onboard storage. The storage comes with support for expandability up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone features a 6.39-inch 2K+ OLED display with 1440×3120 pixel resolution, 86.90 screen-to-body ratio and 538 ppi pixel density. There is an iPhone X like wide notch at the top that houses Flood Illuminator, Dot Projector, IR cameras, ambient light sensor and a selfie camera. For security purpose, the Mate 20 Pro features 3D face unlock as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The dual-SIM phone runs EMUI 9.0 on top of Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box and is fueled by a 4,200mAh battery with support for 40W SuperCharge technology. Huawei will be bringing its wireless charger to India as well. In terms of optics, there’s a unique Leica triple rear camera set up on the back that features a 40-megapixel wide primary lens with f/1.8 aperture + a 20-megapixel ultra-wide angle secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture + an 8-megapixel 3X telephoto sensor with an aperture of f/2.4. The rear camera also supports laser and phase detection auto focus as well as AIS (AI-based stabilisation). For selfies, there’s a 24-megapixel RGB camera on the front.
