Making yet another notable entry in the gigantic smartphones industry is Huawei. The China based company launched its flagship smartphone recently at an event in London. The Huawei Ascend P8 and its large screen variant, Huawei Ascend P8 Max, are set for release in only in the Europe, South Africa and Middle East initially. The phone is expected hit the markets worldwide in a month’s time. However, the Huawei P8 Max will be available after a month of Huawei P8’s official release.
The P8 and P8 Max look sleek and have a metal unibody with Huawei’s EmotionUI 3.1 skin on top. The dual-SIM Android 5.0 Lollipop-based smartphones are sure to take the market by storm with their amazing features at a reasonable price. The Huawei Ascend P8 comes with an impressive 5.2 full HD display (424ppi). The phone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Cortex-A53 Hisilicon Kirin 935 SoC that clocks at 2GHz, coupled with a 3GB RAM. The phone will be available in a 16 GB inbuilt storage version which will cost around Rs. 33,000 while the premium version with 64 GB inbuilt storage will cost up to Rs. 40,000. In a body so sleek, the company was able to fit a quite impressive 2,680 mAh battery.
That’s not all, the 13 MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and dual LED flash is a looker. And the selfie lovers can revel since the front camera is a great 8 MP! And the list doesn’t stop here, an image processor is also available which Huawei says will rival DSLR features along with a four-colour image sensor.
While the basic features of any other smartphone have been diligently covered in the Huawei P8, there are other unique software features that the company has promised during the launch. Light painting mode, movie director mode, time lapse mode, obligatory beautification features and what not! This phone will offer a plethora of them at a pocket-friendly price.

Moving on to Huawei Ascend P8 Max which is the bigger version, comes with a massive display of 6.8-inch 1080p. While all the other features are almost the same as Huawei P8, this phablet comes with upgraded battery of 4,360 mAh which will make the phone last for 2 full days on full battery. Another upgrade is that the phablet is clocked at 2.2GHz with 3GB RAM alongside a Mali-T628 MP4 GPU.
And let’s not forget the Dual SIM connectivity of the phones which also comes with another unique feature. The smartphone’s Signal+ tech allows the phone to choose the most favourable data or calling connection at the particular place and time.
