Honor, Huawei’s online subsidiary has launched the Honor 7X in India. Priced at Rs 12,999, the Honor 7x locks horns with the Mi A1 and undercuts it by Rs 2000. With its excellent value proposition, the Honor 7X is selling like hot cakes in the Indian market. Counting on this success, Honor is bringing a limited Red edition of the smartphone, which will go on sale before February 14th to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Apart from India, the phone will be available in the US, Russia, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Hundred early birds who purchase the limited-edition Honor 7X Red will receive a Red co-branded Honor-Monster AM15 headphones as a gift. Pricing of the Honor 7X Red is still not disclosed but expect it to be a few bucks dearer.

Other than the paint job, there won’t be any changes in the internals. It will sport the same 5.93-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved with 1080×2160 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is equipped by a Kirin 659 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The handset offers either 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage, which is further expandable via the microSD card slot. The Honor 7X wears dual lens setup at the rear which is a combination of 16 MP + 2 MP sensors. There is single lens selfie shooter as well which is an 8 MP camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and 4G VoLTE capability. Sensors on the phone include Compass, Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor. However, the Gyroscope sensor is omitted from the India specific version which limits VR and navigation apps usability. The Honor 7X runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with the custom EMUI 5.1 skin on top. It is powered by a 3,340 mAh battery.
