Huawei Enjoy 9SChinese electronics and telecommunication major Huawei expanded its Enjoy series with the launch of Enjoy 9S and Enjoy 9e smartphones in its hometown. Alongside the two smartphones, the company also launched a big-screen tablet device called the Huawei Tablet M5 Youth Edition. The Enjoy 9s looks identical to the recently launched Nova 4e and is powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, while the Enjoy 9e is a budget smartphone powered by 12nm SoC that is clocked at 2.3GHz. The Tablet M5 Youth Edition comes with GPU Turbo 2.0, up to 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of inbuilt storage.

Huawei Enjoy 9S, Enjoy 9e, Tablet M5 Youth Edition Pricing & Availability Details

The Huawei Enjoy 9S base variant i.e. 64GB storage variant is priced at 1,499 Yuan (roughly Rs. 15,500) and the top variant i.e. 128GB storage variant is priced at Yuan 1,699 (roughly Rs. 17,500). It will come in Red, Black, and Gradient Blue colour options. The Huawei Enjoy 9e comes with a price tag of Yuan 999 which roughly translates to Rs. 10,000 for the lone 3GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage variant. The Huawei Enjoy 9S is already up on pre-orders in China, whereas the Enjoy 9e will go on pre-orders starting from April 2.

The Huawei Tablet M5 Youth Edition comes in two different screen sizes and various network connectivity combinations. The least expensive variant is the one with Wi-Fi only which is priced at RMB 1,199 (roughly Rs. 12,000) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option. Its LTE model with same 3GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage is priced at RMB 1,499 (roughly Rs. 15,400). There is another Wi-Fi only model with 4GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage which is priced at CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 14,400) and its LTE model is priced at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 16,400).

There is also a 10-inch model which comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which is priced at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs. 22,600) for the Wi-Fi only version and CNY 2,399 (roughly Rs. 24,600) for the LTE version.

Huawei Enjoy 9S Features and Specifications

The Huawei Enjoy 9S bears a 6.21-inch Full View display with a waterdrop notch on the top. The display has screen resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 resulting into 89 percent screen-to-body ratio. The device flaunts a 3D curved glossy finish on the back. Under the hood, the phone draws its power from HiSilicon Kirin 710 octa-core processor based on 12nm architecture. There are two options in terms of memory- 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage. There is an option to expand the storage further using a microSD card. It runs EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box and is backed by a 3,400 mAh battery. In the imaging department, you get triple rear camera module consisting of a 24MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture + a 16MP ultra-wide angle secondary sensor + a 2MP depth sensor. There’s an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video calls. The phone also comes with Huawei’s Artificial Image Stabilisation (AIS) and 480 fps super slow-motion video support. For connectivity purpose, the phone features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Huawei Enjoy 9e Features and Specifications

Huawei Enjoy 9eThe Huawei Enjoy 9e features a smaller 6.09-inch display bearing an HD+ resolution of 720×1560 pixels and 87 percent of screen-to-body ratio. The display comes with a waterdrop-style notch at the top that houses the selfie camera. It is powered by a 12nm SoC that is clocked at 2.3GHz along with 3GB of RAM. The onboard storage capacity of the device is 64GB of which is expandable via microSD card up to 512GB. In terms of optics, there’s a 13-megapixel single camera on the back with an f/1.8 lens and HDR support. The front hosts an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 lens for selfies and video calls. It is backed by a 3,020mAh capacity battery and runs Android 9 Pie OS out of the box. The phone features Face Unlock for security purpose but lacks fingerprint sensor.

Huawei Tablet M5 Youth Edition Features and Specifications

Huawei Tablet M5 Youth EditionThe Huawei Tablet M5 Youth Edition comes in two screen sizes- 8-inch and 10-inch screen sizes. The display still has pretty thick bezels on all sides and the back is covered in metal. It is powered by a Kirin 710 or Kirin 710F along with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of built-in storage. There is an option to expand the storage further up to 512GB using a microSD card. There’s a 5,100mAh capacity battery underneath to keep things ticking, which charges via a MicroUSB port. It can deliver 62 hours of music playback on a single charge, as claimed by the company. The tablet comes in different connectivity models of Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE option. There is no NFC, but you get Bluetooth 4.2. It also has GPU Turbo 2.0. It runs EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9 Pie and there is also a unique Kids mode with pre-installed pre-school educational content. Unfortunately, the device lacks support for a fingerprint scanner.

In terms of camera, the MediaPad M5 Youth Edition gets a single 13MP camera on the back with an f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP snapper on the front with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls.

Interestingly, the new MediaPad M5 Youth Edition comes less than six months after the last one.
