The company is going to launch three more smartphones by the year-end including the HTC U11 Plus. Since the company is now sending out press invites for its November 2 launch event, the U11 Plus release seems imminent. It is going to a successor to the HTC U11, which was a power-packed handset but couldn’t stand ground against Samsung’s innovating Galaxy S8.

HTC seems to have assessed the market better this time around and has been rumoured to be working on a phone with very thin bezels. The U11 Plus may feature a 5.99-inch Quad HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 1440 x 2880 pixel resolution. Rumour has it that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC. It could ship with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM coupled with 64 GB / 128 GB on-board storage.

Optics remain simple, as HTC will retain a single lens camera with 12 MP backed by OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). For selfies, you will get an 8 MP shooter. The phone may come with an IP68 certified body for water and dust resistance. In the audio department, you can expect Boom sound stereo speakers. And HTC may also include the Edge Sense squeezable frame gestures from the HTC U11.
