HTC R12 & Windows OS 8.1 – a Winning combination ?by Sushant Bhosale August 31, 2013 0 comments
Microsoft is all set to release its all new Windows Blue (also known as Windows 8.1) operating system for all Smartphones as well as other devices. The HTC R12 is one of them. It supports the Windows Blue RT OS. The most amazing feature of the tablet is that it supports Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 operating system. After the successful release of the Windows 8 OS, it would be great to see devices supporting the Windows Blue RT OS. Though the device is yet to be announced officially we do have some specifications of the device.
- Windows Blue RT OS (also known as the Windows 8.1)
- 12 inches LCD touchscreen
- 16 GB internal memory
- 2 GB RAM
- ADRENO 330 GPU
- 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor
HTC has never compromised the build quality in any of the devices it has released and we hope for the best for this device too.
The HTC R12 has a whopping 12.0 inches LCD touchscreen display with multi-touch functionality. The resolution of the screen is 2048 x 1536 pixels which is closer to any of the mid-ranged laptops in the market. The pixel density of the R12 is 213 PPI which is pretty decent. The 12 inch display would prove to be absolutely brilliant for watching HD movies as well as high definition games.
The HTC R12 sports a 13 mega pixel auto focus camera. Speaking of camera quality, it will be quite brilliant. The camera shoots video at a resolution of 1080p i.e. 1920 x 1080 pixels which is amazing.
The chipset installed inside the HTC R12 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. It has a clock speed of 2.3 GHz with 4 cores (Quad core). The Quad core device also sports an ADRENO 330 GPU which makes the device quite efficient in playing high-definition games. With 2 GB RAM installed inside the R12, this tablet is nowhere near system lags and slowdowns.
OS and Features:
The HTC R12 runs on the Windows Blue RT i.e. the Windows 8.1 operating system. The Windows Blue RT consumes lesser RAM as well as lesser disk space than any other Android operating systems out in the market. With the 16 GB onboard memory, it is now easier to install applications and save media files directly on the tablet’s memory. The memory can also be extended via a micro SD card or a micro SD HC card. The device also comes with a wide range of connectivity options like the Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi.
The overall experience of the Windows 8 OS is slated to be amazing as it is purported to be smoother and faster than the current operating systems in the market.
