HTC has expanded its Desire line-up in India with three mid-range devices- 501, 601 and 700 Dual SIM priced approximately at Rs. 16,890, Rs. 24,190/- and Rs. 33,050/- respectively. The devices were first launched couple of weeks back in the company home-town Taiwan.
The Desire 501 sports a 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen display with resolution of 480x800p. The device is powered by a 1.15GHz dual-core processor and 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS with HTC’s Sense 5 UI on top. There’s a 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2.1MP front facing camera. Internal storage is 8GB that can be expanded up to 64GB with microSD card. The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone supports 3G, WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity and is packed with 2100mAh battery.
This dual-SIM variant of Desire 600 sports a 4.5-inch qHD display with a resolution of 540x960p. The device is powered by 1.4GHz Qualcomm snapdragon 400 dual-core processor with 1GB RAM. In terms of camera, it has 5MP main camera with LED flash and 0.3MP VGA front camera. There’s 8GB of in-built storage capacity that can be expanded up to 64GB by microSD card. The handset is equipped with 2100mAh battery that can provide up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 582 hours of standby time..
The Desire 700 comes with a 5-inch qHD display (540x960p) and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB RAM. The phone runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS with HTC’s Sense 5 UI. It has an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2.1MP front camera with BSI sensor. The device also sports two Boom Sound front speakers just like HTC One. It packs a 2100mAh battery which can deliver up to 11.6 hours of talk time and up to 582 hours of standby time.
All the three devices are expected to be available in stores in a few days.
