Recently the pictures of HTC Desire 8 appeared online via company’s Sina Weibo a/c (China’s equivalent to twitter) and now it is reported that the device will be launched on 24th February at Mobile World Congress (MWC).
There are no official details available about the features of Desire 8, but the mid-range smartphone is likely to feature a 5.5-inch display of unknown resolution, 13MP primary camera, 5MP front-facing camera with beautification option and could support dual-SIM functionality. As per the rumours, it will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB RAM.
The device might sport front-facing stereo speakers and a design similar to the other flagship products of the company like HTC One. It also has on-screen buttons rather than capacitive touch.

As the pictures were leaked via Company’s China unit, the mid-range smartphone is believed to be launched in China first and then in the other countries. Some reports also hint at the launch in China instead of MWC’2014. MWC is scheduled to take place during 24-27 February at Barcelona, Spain.
HTC is also reported to launch another flagship HTC One 2 which might be unveiled on March 18.
