Last year, HTC seemed to be quite busy rolling out gadgets upon gadgets and 2013 is no different. A few of its previous creations include the HTC Desire X, HTC Desire V, HTC One X+ and HTC J, all of which turned out to be an instant hit.

The Taiwanese gadget manufacturer now plans to take it all to the next level by introducing the brand new HTC Butterfly. After being officially released in December 2012 as HTC J Butterfly, the international variant of the same called the HTC Butterfly will soon be available in the Indian market. Like every other high-end smartphone out there, this one too is packed with some fabulous features.

  • HTC ButterflySuper LCD3 Capacitive Touchscreen
  • Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean)
  • 16 GB Internal Storage
  • 8 MP Primary Camera, 2.1 MP Secondary Camera
  • Quad-core 1.5 GHz Processor

The Full HD screen turns out to be the gadget’s key feature. Its massive 5-inch display is shielded with Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Amazingly, the screen has a pixel density of 440ppi while the iPhone 5 has a pixel density of 326ppi. The viewing angles are much better and the colour production seems to be incomparable.

Most part of the phone is constructed out of plastic opposed to some of its previous productions that had an aluminium body. The gadget has a glossy white finish on the rare. Compare its looks with that of the Galaxy Note II and you will probably find the former to be a few steps ahead. While the 9.4mm Note II weighs 180g, the Butterfly is just 140g and 9mm thick.  The power button is located at the top in the centre. The battery is not removable and this has greatly helped Butterfly achieve that fabulous design.

The HTC Butterfly is powered by a 1.5 GHz Quad-core processor and runs on Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean). It flaunts a decent 8 MP primary camera and a 2.1 MP front-facing camera for video-calling. 16 GB of internal memory is sufficient enough to store-in all your crucial data. However, you can extend it further up to 32 GB using a microSD card.

The exact price of the gadget in India is yet to be disclosed. With all of those awesome features packed in, you might end up spending a bit more than what you expect to. But, why shouldn’t you, when you get to bring home one of the best smart phones ever produced? can help you locate the best deals on the same. Also, check out the HTC Droid DNA and the HTC One SV LTE, if you plan to keep a few more options at hand.
