HP has announced the launch of two new gaming laptops in India. The laptops namely the HP Pavilion 15 and HP Omen 15 will cover both the budget gamers segment and the premium segment. The HP Pavilion 15 will cater to the mainstream budget gamers segment while the HP Omen 15 will specifically target the high-end gamers.
HP has already launched the HP Omen X gaming bouquet with mixed reality headset in India earlier this year. Apart from these gaming laptops, HP India has announced new premium PC gaming accessories including keyboards and mouse in the HP Omen series. The laptops run on the Windows 10 out-of-the-box.
HP Pavilion 15 will be available at a price of Rs. 74,990, while the HP Omen 15 will be offered at a starting price tag of Rs. 1,05,990. The laptops will be available for sale across the country at offline and online partner stores.
HP has also announced a set of gaming accessories along with the Omen series. The Omen HP Sequencer keyboard comes at a price tag of Rs. 10,999. The Omen by HP Reactor mouse is priced at Rs. 3,499. The Omen by HP Transceptor backpack will also be offered to users at a price tag of Rs. 11,999. While these will be available for purchase in India from August, the Omen HP Mouse 600 and Mouse 800 can be bought even now at Rs. 4,999 and Rs. 6,999, respectively.
The HP Pavilion 15 features a 15.6-inch full-HD screen and comes with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The backlit widescreen IPS panel offers an aspect ratio of 16:9, 220 nits brightness, and pixel density of 144ppi. The laptop is powered by 8th Intel Core processors and offers the users the options to choose from a Core i5-8300H up to a Core i7-8750H – with a base frequency of 2.3GHz. The processors are integrated with graphics up to a dedicated 4GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti. The laptop boasts of built in Intel UHD Graphics 630.
The laptop comes with 8GB of 2666MHz DDR4 RAM and the laptop range gets a 1TB HDD clocked at 7200RPM. The top two models also get a 128GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. Connectivity ports on the gaming laptop include 1 USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1, 3 USB 3.1 Gen 1, 1 headphone jack, 1 RJ-45, and an HDMI v2.0. The dimensions of the HP Pavilion 15 gaming laptop are 366×256.5×25.4mm. It weighs 2.2kg. It has a 52.5Whr battery call with support for fast charge. The audio on the HP Pavilion 15 is powered by Bang and Olufsen.
The high-end HP Omen 15 comes powered by an 8th-gen Intel Core i7-8750H processor with a 2.2GHz base frequency. It clocks to 4.1GHz with Intel Turbo Boost technology. The Omen 15 boasts of a 15.6-inch UHD IPS anti-glare panel with a brightness of 300 nits and refresh rate of 144Hz. Graphics on the machine comprise options between a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti, GeForce GTX 1060, and a GeForce GTX 1070. The laptop also offers the option of 8GB and 16GB DDR4 RAM upgradable up to 32GB. As for storage, the laptop offers a 1TB HDD clocked at 7200RPM and a 128GB PCIe NVMe SSD.
The HP Omen 15 gaming laptop comes with a host of connectivity options. It gets three USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C, one Mini DisplayPort, one headphone jack, an RJ-45 port, and one HDMI v2.0 port. The laptop supports Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, MU-MIMO, and is Miracast certified. The HP Omen 15 comes with in the dimension of 359.9×262.9×24.9mm and weighs 2.38kg.
