The global leader in printing tech, HP, has launched a pocket printer for the smartphone generation. Called the HP Sprocket, this gadget allows users to print directly from their smartphone and tablets.
For customisation, HP has released Android and iOS apps. This companion software enables users to allow fun borders, emojis, stickers, and filters to the photographs. It supports a wide range of file types including .jpeg, .gif and .png.
The HP Sprocket photo printer connects to mobile devices via Bluetooth. It prints 2×3 inch photos using ZINK technology. The ZINK photo paper delivers smudge-proof, water-resistant and tear-resistant photos without ink or toner cartridges. All the colour ink required for the printing is embedded in the paper itself. These print papers also work as peel-and-stick stickers.
