HP Has Unveiled The All-new Omen And Victus Series For India; Here’s A Glimpse

The US-based tech giant has finally revealed the 2022 lineup for its Omen and Victus series. The notebooks are dubbed as HP Victus 15, Victus 16, Omen 16, and Omen 17. The brand has targeted the gamers through this range. In case you missed a recent development, HP’s Victus lineup is the new gaming series that was earlier offered under the Pavilion series. Though both the lineups Omen and Victus are gaming-centric, Victus is a more affordable one whereas Omen has a number of premium offerings for the gamers.

Not just the notebook laptops, HP has also unveiled a range of desktop options under the Omen and Victus series. The gaming desktops are dubbed as HP Victus L, Omen 25L, Omen 40L, and Omen 45L. Now, we are going to take a deeper dive into the key features and chipsets.

HP Victus 15 and Victus 16: Key specs & features

As you might have guessed by the name, Victus 15 sports a 15.6-inch panel that will produce FHD resolution. There will be two chipset options; Intel Core i7 and i5. Both the processors will be 12th-gen Intel with a dedicated graphics card up to RTX 3050 Ti. The design language is slightly inspired from a more premium Omen series that offers a slight elevation.

Moving to the Victus 16, the notebook comes with a screen size of 16.1-inch producing FHD resolution. Here, the panel will sport a refresh rate of 144Hz. At its core, the all-new Victus 16 will sport an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H CPU paired with up to 32 gigs of memory and 512GB of onboard SSD storage. It will also come with a dedicated RTX 3050 Ti graphics card. With rear vents, the notebooks will sport dual heat chambers and backlit keyboard panels.

HP Omen 16 and Omen 17: Key specs & features

The 2022 Omen 16 notebook will sport a 16.1-inch IPS panel that will produce a Quad HD resolution. The panel will come with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and it will also support 165Hz refresh rate. In the case of the elder sibling, Omen 17 will sport a 17.3” panel and it will also offer a much better screen-to-body ratio. HP is offering both the models in multiple CPU variants; Intel 12th-gen and AMD 6000 chips.

Not just the chipsets, HP is also offering the option of RTX 3070 Ti, 3080 Ti, and AMD’s RX 6650M graphics card. In terms of memory and storage, the notebooks will offer 2TB of SSD storage on the top variant paired with 32 gigs of DDR5 memory. The onboard SSD is the PCIe-gen one that offers fast read/write speeds. HP is also offering a much improved heat dissipation system, the notebooks are equipped with a vent to outflow air along with an extra heat pipe.

HP Victus 15L, Omen 25L, Omen 40L, and Omen 45L Desktops: Key specs & features

 

First, the Omen series will be equipped with Intel’s 12th-gen i7 CPUs. The Omen 25L and 40L will sport an i7-2700K chipset whereas the Omen 45L will come with i7-2700F CPU. Along with up to 1TB of the PCI NVMe M2 SSD, HP is also offering HDD up to 2TB.

Moving to the Victus 15L, it will be available in two CPU options – AMD’s Ryzen 7 5700G and Intel’s Core i7 12700F. With 32GB of DDR4 memory, it will come with 2TB HDD and 1TB SSD. The desktop will come with a dedicated RTX 3060 Ti GPU.

Both the desktop models will boot on Windows 11 with a plethora of connectivity options and I/O ports.

Pricing and availability

The Omen and Victus lineup will come with a base price of ₹93,999 for the Victus 15L. The Omen lineup will start at ₹1,49,999. Both the desktops will be available in two color options; Black and White.

For the notebook lineup, the Omen 16 will come in a single color option, i.e. Shadow Black. The 17-inch one will start at a base price of ₹1,99,999. Both the variants will go on sale in August. The Victus 15” and 16” notebooks will be available at a price tag of ₹67,999 and ₹84,999, respectively. Victus 16 is already on sale whereas the Victus 15 will go on sale later next month.
