Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched the Honor Watch Magic along with its Honor View 20 smartphone last month. The company has now revealed that the smartwatch will be available in India as well. This comes close to the heels of the announcement of the features and price of the smart watch last month. The Honor Magic Watch is available for sale exclusively on Amazon India.

Honor had tweeted a few days back that its first smartwatch will be available from February 21 and it will come with a price tag of Rs. 13,999 for the Lava Black sports variant. The Moonlight Silver variant of the smartwatch is priced at Rs. 14,999 in India. As per the company, the smartwatch is supposed to be the thinnest in the category.

The Honor Watch Magic comes with 5ATM water resistance. It can thus be submerged in water for up to 50 metres without getting damaged. The smartwatch features a 1.2-inch HD AMOLED display. It is just 9.8mm thin. Honor Watch Magic can also record the heart rate of the users in real-time. It can recognise swim strokes, capture sleep data, display reminders, and do much more. The smartwatch also offers GPS, a barometer, and NFC support.

The smartwatch’s is equipped with a battery of 178mAh capacity. It can last for up to 7 days once charged fully. As for its connectivity, the Honor Watch Magic can be paired with an Android or an iOS device via Bluetooth 4.2 LE.

The smartwatch by Honor offers customized running courses for fitness enthusiasts. It comes with real-time workout tracking. It enables users to track and monitor activities such as cycling, mountaineering, and swimming.

Honor’s first smartwatch in India will have to face stiff competition from a number of other wearable products that are available in the market. Huami, backed by Chinese consumer electronics giant, Xiaomi, also sells its smartwatches aimed at the fitness enthusiasts in India. The products are sold at a similar price point. The Honor has launched the Magic Watch in China last November so it has come to India after a lag of three months.
