Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has announced the launch date of its upcoming Honor Note 10 smartphone via its Weibo account (Chinese social networking site). The phone will be unveiled on July 31 at an event which will be held in Beijing, China. This unveiling is exclusive for the Chinese market, whereas the global launch is set for next month i.e. August 30 at IFA in Berlin. Company has rolled out invites for the August 30 event without revealing the name of the phone. However, it is highly speculated to be Honor Note 10.

honor-note-10-china-unveilingNotably, the last Note series phone launched by the company was Honor 8 in 2016 and it has skipped the moniker ‘9’. As per the company’s official post, the company was working on the Note 10 since last two years. The highlight of the device is its massive 6.9-inch screen. The device is also expected to be high on artificial intelligence (AI).

The Honor Note 10 has been leaked online several times ahead of its official launch. Based on the leaked information so far, the Honor Note 10 is expected to sport a 6.9-inch QHD+ AMOLED  bezel-less display and may be powered by Hisilicon Kirin 970 chipset along with Huawei’s latest GPU Turbo technology. The RAM of the device is expected to be 6GB or 8GB and internal storage capacity could be 128GB or 256GB with an option to expand via microSD card. In the camera department, yu may get a dual rear camera set up comprising of 16MP primary sensor and 24MP secondary sensor. The front may host a 24MP selfie camera. The front camera is expected to come with AI-powered beauty mode and Face Unlock features. The phone is expected to run on Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8 operating system and may be fueled by 6,000mAh battery with Super Charge fast charging support.

There is no information yet on the pricing of Honor Note 10. However, the earlier Honor devices were priced aggressively, and the Note 10 is expected to follow the suit. The phone is expected to give stiff competition to Mi Max 3 which was launched in China recently with a price tag of CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 17,300) for the base variant i.e. 4GB RAM + 64GB onboard storage.
