As mentioned earlier, the Honor 8X has a striking design and comes with all-glass body. It is available in as many as three colour options- Blue, Black and Red. The Motorola One Power has precision-crafted metal design and sports a fingerprint sensor at the back along with the Motorola logo. It has a splash-proof coating on top for protection against sudden splashes of water. The Vivo V9 also comes across as just another mid-range device in terms of design with vertically stacked dual camera set up on the rear along with fingerprint sensor and Vivo logo. In terms of display, the Honor 8X features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display with 1080 x 2340 pixel screen resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 397 PPI pixel density. The display comes with an iPhone X like wide notch at the top which houses the selfie camera and some other sensors.

The Honor 8X is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor along with a Mali G51 GPU and 4GB or 6GB of RAM. There are two options in terms of storage- 64GB and 128GB, with an option to expand the same up to 400GB via microSD card. The Motorola One Power is fueled by 1.8GHz Snapdragon 636 processor along with Adreno 509, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The storage can be extended further up to 256GB by means of a microSD card. The Vivo V9 Pro draws power from a Snapdragon 660 AIE SoC paired with Adreno 512 GPU for graphics, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. The Honor 8X was launched in India on 24th October with a price tag of Rs. 14,999 for the base variant i.e. 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage, Rs. 16,999 for the mid-variant i.e. 6GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage and Rs. 18,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage. There are three colour options available for the interested buyers- Red, Blue and Black. The Motorola One Power comes in single variant i.e. 4GB RAM + 64GB onboard storage and is priced in India at Rs. 15,999. It is sold online exclusively via eCommerce giant Flipkart.com.

The Vivo V9 Pro was launched in India in September 2018 with a price tag of Rs. 17,990 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. However, this price is under an introductory offer for the Diwali period, post which the phone will be sold at Rs. 19,990. There is only Black colour option available for the buyers.

So, the Honor 8X seems to be priced aggressively as compared to the Motorola One Power and the Vivo V9 Pro.
