Huawei has launched two new phones under the “Honor” brand. The two new phones are its 7 series phones – Honor 7A and Honor 7C. The phones have been launched in India under Rs 10,000. The two smartphones are identical in terms of its camera, display screen and resolution and battery capacity. The Android Oreo 8.0 powered phones bring along interesting features such as Histen’s 3D sound effects, a Ride Mode and a Party Mode. In the party mode, many users can connect their Honor 7 series phones to produce a single quality output.

The Honor 7A is priced well below Rs. 10,000. It starts selling at Rs. 8,999 and is expected to be available for sale on Flipkart from the noon of 29th May onwards.

The Honor 7C is priced from Rs. 9,999 onwards for the 3GB RAM 32GB storage version. For its 4GB RAM 64GB storage variant, the price may go up to Rs. 11,999. The Honor 7C will be sold through Amazon from 12 pm onwards on 31st May.  The smartphones will also be available on the HiHonor online store. The Honor phones will be available in three colour variants – Black, Blue and Gold.

Reliance Jio, one of India’s premium telecom providers, is offering Rs 2,200 cashback with 50GB extra free data for Honor 7A customers. The Honor 7C customers will get a similar cashback and 100GB of free data.

Both the smartphones – Honor 7A and Honor 7C – come with dual-SIM (Nano). It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo based EMUI 8.0. The Honor 7A features a 5.7-inch full HD+ screen. The resolution of the screen is 720 x1440 pixels IPS LCD display. It comes with an aspect ratio of 18:9.

Under the hood, the Honor 7A is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM while the Honor 7C is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC and 3GB or 4GB RAM.

The Honor 7A will feature only the 3GB RAM variant in India. Its dual rear camera setup comes with a primary 13-megapixel sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor. On the front, the smartphone features an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone has also accommodated for a soft selfie light in the front. The Honor 7A comes with 32GB storage which is  expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The smartphone seamlessly connects as per its connectivity features including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro USB and a 3.55mm headphone jack. The Honor 7A also has sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. The Honor 7A measures 152.4 x 73 x 7.8 mm and weighs about 150 grams. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery.

The Honor 7C has a dual rear camera setup and carries the same specifications for its front camera too. The only difference being the aperture which is f/2.0. The Honor 7C has 32GB or 64GB inbuilt storage. It is expandable to 256GB via microSD. Connectivity features and sensors of the 7C are also same as the 7A. The Honor 7C features a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel to enable users to unlock their phones through face recognition. The smartphone has a 3000mAh battery. Its dimensions are 158.3 x 76.7 x 7.8 mm. The smartphone weighs around 164 grams.

The Honor 7A and Honor 7C is in the same segment as Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 and Xiaomi’s Redmi. It will face tough competition from Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 and Redmi 5 series.
