Huawei sub-brand Honor has launched a new smartphone dubbed as Honor 20i. The entry-level phone is successor to last year’s Honor 10i which is also known as Honor 10 Lite. The highlights of the device include Kirin 710F SoC, up to 6GB RAM, triple rear camera and 32MP selfie camera.

Honor 20i Pricing and Availability Details

  • The Honor 20i comes in four memory variants which are priced as below,
  • 4GB RAM + 128GB Inbuilt Storage Priced at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 16,500)
  • 6GB RAM + 128GB Inbuilt Storage Priced at CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs. 19,600)
  • 4GB RAM + 256GB Inbuilt Storage Priced at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs. 22,800)
  • Special AAPE Edition 6GB RAM + 256GB Inbuilt Storage Priced at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs. 22,800

The smartphone boasts a premium appeal thanks to its 3D rear glass back with gradient colour finish. It comes in three colour options- Gradient Blue, Gradient Red, and Magic Night Black. It will go on sale in China starting from April 18th. The Honor 20i AAPE Edition will be available in May though.

There is no word yet regarding the availability of Honor 20i in other markets including India. However, the company is expected to launch the same soon with Honor 20 Lite moniker.

Honor 20i Features and Specifications

Display: The Honor 20i features a 6.21-inch full-HD+ display with full-HD+ resolution of 1080×2340 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display is almost bezel-less and comes with a tiny waterdrop notch at the top.

Processor and Memory: The Honor 20i is powered by an octa-core Kirin 710F SoC paired with the Mali G51MP4 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage which is expandable further via microSD card. Further, the phone also features GPU Turbo 2.0 for enhanced gaming experience.

OS: The phone runs EMUI 9.0.1 based on Google’s latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box.

Battery: There’s a 3,400mAh battery underneath to keep things ticking. However, the phone lacks support for fast charging.

Camera: In terms of optics, the Honor 20i bears a vertically stacked triple camera module on the back which comprises of a 24-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture + an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture + a third 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera features AI face beauty, night scene mode, anti-shake, super slow-motion video shooting and more. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 32-megapixel (f/2.0) camera on the front with support for HDR and portrait mode. The front camera also doubles up as face unlock for authentication.
