Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched Honor 10 GT as its first 8GB RAM smartphone in company’s hometown China. The Honor 10 GT is basically an upgraded version of Honor 10 that was launched in China in April and then it was launched in other markets including India in May. Honor 10 was launched in China with 6GB RAM but outside of China it was launched with 4GB RAM.

Another highlight of the device is that it comes with GPU Turbo technology which is a software and hardware optimized graphics acceleration technology that improves performance by up to 60 percent and lowers power usage by 30 percent. This comes handy while playing heavy games. The company is in the process of making the GPU Turbo technology available to other Huawei and Honor handsets via a software update.

Honor 10 GT Price and Availability:

The Honor 10 GT will start selling via flash sale on Honor’s online store as well as on JD.com on July 24. The pricing details of the same have not been revealed yet but the 6GB RAM Honor 10 is priced at CNY 2,599 (i.e. roughly Rs. 26,800) so you can expect the Honor 10 GT to be priced a few hundred CNYs more. Notably, the 6GB RAM Honor 10 is priced in India at Rs. 32,999 and is Flipkart exclusive.

Honor 10 GT Features and Specifications:

The Honor 10 GT has identical specifications as that of Honor 10, except for the 8GB RAM instead of 6GB. The dual-SIM phone sports a a 5.84-inch fullHD+ FullView display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 1080×2160 pixel resolution. The display comes with iPhone X like notch at the top, which can be hidden from settings. Under the hood, the device is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box with EMUI 8.1 on top and is backed by a 3,400mAh battery.

For the camera buffs, the Honor 10 GT bears a dual rear camera set up comprising of a 24-megapixel primary sensor and a 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, and an AI photography mode. The front hosts a 24-megapixel selfie camera with 1.8-micron pixels. The camera features a Super Night Scene mode to capture beautiful night shots using a tripod. This feature will be rolled out for the older models via a beta update starting July 12.
