
HMD Global Revealed Nokia 1.4 with Android Go and Snapdragon 215 at just $99
Last year, Nokia 1.3 was launched in the entry-level smartphone category with some basic set of features. Recently, HMD Global updated its last year’s model with Nokia 1.4. The brand has enhanced the spec-sheet quite significantly.

Talking about the upgrades over the last year’s Nokia 1.3, HMD Global is offering an upgraded display, bigger battery, dual-camera system, and a fingerprint sensor. The brand is offering it in a very affordable package. Let’s take a dive into the specs.
Nokia 1.4: Key specs & features
With some thick bezels and an even a thicker chin with Nokia branding, Nokia 1.4 will sport a screen size of 6.5” with a waterdrop notch. The panel will produce HD+ resolution. On the rear, there is a slight camera bump in a circular design with the fingerprint sensor placed right below it.
The dual-camera system of Nokia 1.4 will house a primary 8MP sensor along with a 2MP macro sensor. The notch will be the home to a 5MP selfie sensor. On the software side, the brand is offering Google’s camera app for better picture quality and enhanced portrait & night mode shots.
At its core, Nokia 1.4 will sport Snapdragon 215 SoC, an entry-level chip from Qualcomm paired with 3 gigs of RAM. The onboard storage will be 64GB. Users will also get to increase the storage space up to 128GB using a microSD card. The smartphone will boot on Go Edition of Android 10 and the brand promises to deliver OS updates for up to 3 years, including security patches.
The connectivity features on offer are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm audio port. The smartphone will be backed up by a 4,000 mAh battery with a restricted charging speed up to 5W, only.
Pricing and availability
On a tangent, Nokia India has released a teaser indicating the arrival of Nokia 3.4 in the Indian market. There are a few rumors that it will be revealed within a couple of weeks. Coming back to the Nokia 1.4, the smartphone will be available in Fjord, Charcoal, and Dust color options. The base variant with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage combination is priced at $99 (roughly ₹7,200). There will be two more variants with 1+32GB & 3+64GB storage combinations. The smartphone is already on sale in the global markets. There is no info available for Indian availability.
