
HMD Global Launched Nokia Smart TVs With Android 11 and QLED Panels; Here Are Key Details
The Finland based brand has finally debuted in the country’s smart TV segment. Nokia launched a total of 4 variants that offer a range of screen sizes and resolutions. Customers will have the option of going for their preferred panels, i.e. LED and QLED.
The QLED variant will fall in a more premium category compared to their LED counterparts. The brand claims that this all-new smart TV lineup is offered under the Made In India campaign. Let’s discuss the key specifications.

When it comes to the screen sizes, Nokia Smart TVs are offered in 50” and 55” sizes and the bezels are also quite thin. The panels on both the sizes will produce 4K UHD resolution along with the option of QLED panels. The panels will go up to a peak brightness of 400 nits and will also support HDR10. The latest addition to the smart TV lineup will also come equipped with Gamma Engine 2.2 and Dolby Vision for more enhanced and crisp colors.
Along with it, Nokia is also offering MEMC tech that offers better viewing by adding artificial frames in the video. This tech will make the 24FPS video look like 60FPS. It will also come with a refresh rate of 60Hz. Coming to the audio, these smart TVs will be offering dual speaker setup that will produce a combined output of up to 60W. The speakers are from JBL with support of Harman EFX for more clear and crisp vocals. The support of Dolby Atmos makes the overall experience even better.
At its core, Nokia Smart TVs will sport a quad-core chipset clocked at 1.1GHz coupled with 2 gigs of memory and 16GB of internal storage. On the software aspect, the smart TVs will come with integrated Google Assistant, Chromecast, and Google’s Play Store. There will be a few apps that will come pre-installed such as Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, etc. The TV will boot on Android 11 out of the box.
The connectivity ports that you will get are 2x USB ports, 3x full-size HDMI ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and more. The bundled remote will also feature dedicated buttons for the pre-installed OTT apps and Google Assistant.
Pricing and availability
The latest addition to the smart TV segment by Nokia will come in two sizes, 50” and 55” priced at ₹44,999 and ₹49,999, respectively. If you are going for the QLED models, the price tag will bump up to ₹54,999 for the 55” variant and ₹49,999 for the 50” one. The first sale will commence on Oct 3 through Flipkart’s Big Billion Day sale.
