Motorola is finally stepping up its game and is all set to jump the bezel-less bandwagon with its upcoming smartphones. A series of leaks on Droid-Life reveals pictures and some specifications of the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play. Chances are that Motorola may unveil these new products at next month’s MWC (Mobile World Congress) which will be held at Barcelona, Spain.

The Moto G6, it will succeed last year’s Moto G5 and will be a mid-range offering from Motorola. It is seen sporting the signature Motorola design with circular housing for the dual cameras. The major changes are seen at the front where it gets a 5.7-inch FullHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The bezels are slim, yet the bottom one houses a fingerprint sensor embedded in home button. In terms of performance it is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC which is an octa core processor.

On the photography front, the rear dual camera setup comprises of a 12 MP primary sensor which is accompanied by a 5 MP secondary sensor. For capturing selfies, it has a 16 MP shooter. It is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. The Moto G6 is likely to come in two memory options bearing 3 GB RAM + 32 GB internal storage and another with 4 GB RAM + 64 GB internal storage. As per the leaks, the Moto G6 will be priced at $240.

The Moto G6 Plus will be the most powerful device in the ‘G’ series. It will succeed last year’s Moto G5 Plus. It comes with a premium metal frame sandwiched between the front and the rear curved glass. It inherits the signature circular housing at the back comprising of the dual cameras as seen on Motorola’s previous handsets. The body is also splash resistant. It sports a 5.93-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio which is a tad bit bigger than the Moto G6. The display also gets Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There are less bezels on top and bottom of the screen and the bottom bezel houses the fingerprint sensor embedded home button. As far as performance goes, it is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC (System on Chip) which is an octa core processor.

On the photography front, it wears the same lenses as its sibling Moto G6. The rear dual camera setup comprises of a 12 MP primary sensor which is accompanied by a 5 MP secondary sensor. For capturing selfies, it has a 16 MP shooter. It draws power from the 3,200 mAh battery under its hood. The Moto G6 Plus is likely to come in 3 GB / 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM coupled with 32 GB / 64 GB of internal storage. It will come in Lunar Grey and Midnight Blue colour options. As per the leaks, the Moto G6 will be priced at $330.

Along with these two handsets, Lenovo will also launch the Moto G6 Play. Unlike the other two phones with 18:9 aspect ratio, the G6 Play makes do with a conventional 16:9 aspect ratio. It has an aluminium frame sandwiched between the front and rear glass. However, unlike the other two devices in the series, the G6 Play skips the front home button. The ‘M’ moniker at the rear serves the purpose of a fingerprint sensor. It gets a 5.7-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.

In terms of performance it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC *System on Chip). It is likely to appear with two variants bearing 2 GB RAM + 16 GB internal storage and another with 3 GB RAM + 32 GB internal storage.

On the photography front, as opposed to the G6 and G6 Plus, the Play version gets a single 12 MP sensor at the rear. The front however boasts of a dual 5-megapixel sensor for capturing selfies. The Moto G6 Play excels in the battery performance with a 4000 mAh capacity. The phone may run on Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box when it is launched. It will come in Dark Charcoal, Gold and Deep Blue colour options. The pricing of this handset isn’t leaked yet.
