iFFALCON Smart TV Launch

TCL Multimedia, a well-known TV manufacturer, has launched a trio of iFFALCON smart televisions in India. iFFALCON is a smart internet TV brand that promises to be ‘Incredibly Greater than the Rest’. It is a part of FFALCON Technology Holdings, in which TCL and leading internet content provider Tencent Digital have co-invested. TCL, the global No.3 TV manufacturer, has partnered with eCommerce giant Flipkart for the launch. The company claims that it has 10.9 per cent market share globally and it aims to strengthen its position further with entry into highly competitive smart TV market in India where it plans to sell at least 2 lakh units by the end of 2018.

iFFALCON Smart TVs: Pricing, Availability and Offer

TCL has launched three smart TVs dubbed as iFFALCON 55K2A, iFFALCON 40F2 and iFFALCON 32F2 with very competitive pricing. The iFFALCON 55K2A is a 55-inch variant priced at Rs. 45,999, the iFFALCON 40F2 is a 40-inch variant priced at Rs. 19,999 and the iFFALCON 32F2 is 32-inch variant priced at Rs. 13,499. All three TVs will be on sale exclusively via Flipkart starting from May 7 at 12 noon. Customers can also avail cashback offer with JioFi data card but the details of the offer will be available on Flipkart at the time of sale. Notably, the TVs will not be available for sale in offline stores.


iFFALCON 55K2A Specifications:

The iFFALCON 55K2A is the flagship 4K UHD Smart LED TV which sports a 55-inch display with 3840×2160 pixels resolution. The TV runs Google-certified Android OS which provides a full suite of Google services, customized especially for iFFALCON TV. It is powered by a quad-core processor and a dual-core GPU coupled with 2.5GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage. The TV comes with Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound and Stereo Surround Sound Box Speaker which provides rich and immersive surround sound experience. There is an inbuilt Smart Volume feature that automatically adjusts the volume to minimize the impact of sudden sound fluctuations. The Smart Volume feature can also adjust audio settings dynamically depending on the content being watched by the user like sports, news, music, movies, etc. The Smart TV comes with built-in features such as picture-in-picture mode, task switching, and Google Chromecast.

There are 4 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports. In addition, there’s Micro dimming feature that analyses the on-screen content and adjusts the color contrast and brightness to ensure a great viewing experience.

TV’s remote has a dedicated button to receive voice inputs which enables users to do Google Voice Search. The dimensions of the TV are 73.7(w) x 719.9(h) x 719.9(d) mm without the stand and 1243.6(w) x 778.7(h) x 214.6(d) with the stand.


iFFALCON 32F2 and iFFALCON 40F2 Specifications:

The 32-inch iFFALCON 32F2 features a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and the 40-inch iFFALCON 40F2 features a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Both the TVs come with a T-Cast feature which allows the users to operate the TV using their smartphone as remote.

iFFALCON has provided some safeguards in its TVs such as lightning protection, fast heat ventilation and wide voltage range. In addition, the TVs are also moisture-proof. The company also claims that the TVs consume low power which should help to keep your electricity bill under check.

iFFALCON has partnered with leading content providers such as YouTube, Netflix, Jio Digital, Google Play Movies, Voot, YuppTV and Eros Now to provide a wider content library to its customers.

“Multiple smart TV offerings have been launched till date, but none quite provide the level of customization and convenience that new-age consumers are demanding today. This is where iFFALCON steps into the picture. Through in-depth product personalization, we are addressing the need-gap in the market by catering to India’s end-to-end home entertainment requirements.” said, TCL India’s Country Manager, Mr. Mike Chen in a press statement while commenting on the launch.

TCL will initially be importing the iFALLCON units from China, which is currently its biggest market. But the company may start the TV production in India at a later stage.

Considering the specifications and the aggressive pricing, the iFFALLCON smart TVs seem to justify the company’s tagline ‘Incredibly Greater than the Rest’. The TVs will surely give stiff competition to the other smart tv makers in the market, especially the likes of Xiaomi, Vu and Thomson.
