Gionee seems to be on a roll. Just a few days after the launch of the M7, a new handset has been spotted in TENAA filing. TENAA is China’s telecom regulatory authority. The rumour has it that this upcoming phone is the S11.
Going by the leaked information, this phone will continue the ultra-wide aspect ratio trend. It will feature a 6-inch screen with 1080 x 2160 pixels. The panel type is said to be AMOLED, so you can expect vibrant colours and deep blacks.
The same source also points at a 2.5 GHz octa-core chipset under the hood. The phone is likely to feature 6 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage. To please the shutterbugs, Gionee is expected to equip the handset with a total of four cameras. The rear camera will sport a 16 MP sensor accompanied by a depth sensing lens. Things will be even better for selfie-addicts as the phone will feature a 20 MP dual-camera assembly on the front.
The phone will ship with Android 7.1.1, Nougat. The software will be laced with Gionee’s Amigo UI on top.
