In the Indian market, Gionee has introduced a budget smartphone, Gionee Max, on Saturday at a price tag of ₹5,999. The brand has introduced a new M30 smartphone in the Chinese market the same day. The USP of this device will be gigantic 10,000 mAh battery. Gionee is also providing the fast charging support on M30 and the smartphone will be equipped with a big display along with ample size of storage.

Gionee M30: Key specs and features

Gionee’s latest offering, Gionee M30, will come with a big 6” IPS LCD panel. The screen resolution will be 720×1600 pixels. The smartphone is built upon a metallic frame and the body is constructed of an aluminum alloy with a leather finish.

 

Gionee M30 is powered by MediaTek’s mid-range Helio P60 SoC coupled with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB onboard storage. The smartphone also comes with a microSD card slot to expand the storage. Gionee is offering 25W fast charging for its huge 10,000 mAh battery.

 

Coming to the cameras, Gionee M30 comes with a single 16 MP lens on the rear and houses an 8 MP selfie snapper on the top. Gionee has also paid enough attention to the biometrics. You will get a fingerprint scanner, facial unlock, and an encryption chip shipped with the package.

 

The full list of specs is revealed by a Chinese online retailer, JD.com. However, there is no info on the Android version. Earlier, the smartphone was listed in TENAA’s database with Android 7. TENAA is the Chinese telecom authority. Gionee M30 will come with dual-4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11n standard which means it will support dual-bands, 3.5 headphone jack, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, and stereo speakers.

Pricing and availability

In China, Gionee M30 is priced at RMB 1,399 (~₹15,000) and is available in the Black color option, only. There is no info on availability outside China.
