Gionee recently unveiled its Elife E7 camera smartphone at an event in Shanghai. And the Chinese original equipement manufacturer (OEM) has now confirmed the launch of its new flagship product in India on December 24. The company has already sent out invitations for the said event but the exact venue details are unavailable as of now. The device was earlier rumoured be launched in India in January next year.
The Elife E7 is considered to be one of the strongest phones coming out of China with 2.2GHz quad-core Krait 400 processor and a Snapdragon 800 chipset (same as the Nexus 5). There are two variants available classified in terms of internal storage- a 16GB variant with 2GB RAM and a 32GB variant with 3GB RAM. But it’s not yet clear if both the variants will be launched in India.
The device sports a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system with AMIGO 2.0 UI that provides several customized applications to boost overall performance. There is a 16MP camera with LED flash and Sapphire lens at the rear which is capable of recording full HD (1080p) videos, whereas the front features an 8MP camera. All of this is packed with 2,500mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery.
Some of the other features include 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and FM Radio.
