American technology company Garmin has launched its new offering – the Vivoactive 3 Music in India. The new wearable, which has been launched almost a year after the Vivoactive 3, has added music in addition to everything that was already offered by the Vivoactive 3.

The Vivoactive 3 Music was first introduced in June this year. Garmin has already made smartwatches which come with GPS tracking and music playback. However, with Vivoactive 3 Music, the company has made available an affordable smartwatch which enables users to carry 500 songs while on the move. These songs can be played directly via a Bluetooth headphone. With Vivoactive 3 Music, Garmin has ensured that its users need not carry a smartphone for their music needs when they are walking or jogging.

The Vivoactive 3 Music is an apt fusion of a music player with local storage to a fitness tracker and a GPS smartwatch. The device is priced at Rs. 25,990, which is around Rs. 1,000 more than the Garmin Vivoactive 3.

The Vivoactive 3 Music is available both online and offline. It is available online at web stores of Garmin, Paytm Mall, Amazon India, Flipkart, and Helios Watch Store. The physical retail outlets selling the product include Croma, Helios-The Watch Stores, and Reliance Digital across India.

As for its features, the Vivoactive 3 Music users will get GPS, a heart rate monitor, contactless payments through Garmin Pay, a swim-safe build, up to 7 days of battery life, and access to the Garmin Connect IQ app store, in addition to the music and local storage. The company has claimed that it has introduced several ways to customise with free watch faces, widgets, data fields and apps through the Garmin Connect IQ store.

The Vivoactive 3 Music adds on-device music storage capabilities. The device allows users to download offline music playlists from music streaming services such as Deezer, iHeartRadio etc. The users can also transfer music from their PCs to the smartwatch directly. As it seamlessly pairs with other devices via Bluetooth, music can also be loaded by transferring the files over Bluetooth.

The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music packs a 1.2-inch display with a resolution of 240×240 pixels. The smartwatch measures 43.1×43.1×13.6mm and it weighs 39 grams. As per Garmin, the battery of the smartwatch runs for 13 hours in GPS training mode, 5 hours in GPS mode with music playing, and 7 days in smartwatch mode.

The smartwatch comes with connectivity and sensors options including Bluetooth Smart, ANT+, GPS, GLONASS, optical HR, accelerometer, barometer, compass, and thermometer. The smartwatch boasts of Swim and 5 ATM certification for water resistance.
