Flipkart Introduces Its Billion Capture+ Smartphone With Dual-Camerasby Ajinkya November 10, 2017
A few years back, Amazon launched its own Fire phone. Unfortunately for the American e-commerce website, its smartphone crashed and burned in the market. But, it seems Flipkart is quite confident about the success of its first smartphone Billion Capture+ in India. According to India’s biggest e-commerce website, this smartphone is based on the feedback from millions of Flipkart customers’ reviews. What’s more interesting is that Flipkart’s phone is a ‘Made For India’ phone, which is designed, engineered, and manufactured in the country.
Flipkart has already put up a teaser page for the upcoming phone, and according to the listing, the phone features a metal body. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD screen protected by Asahi Dragontrail glass. For firepower, Flipkart has partnered with American chipset maker Qualcomm. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC (System on Chip).
For photography buffs, the phone will offer a 13 MP rear camera. One sensor will be conventional RGB while the monochrome one will capture depth information. Selfie-addicts will have to settle for an 8 MP shooter.
The Billion Capture+ features a fingerprint sensor on its back. The phone comes with a 3500 mAh battery with Quick Charge support. It will ship with Android 7.1.2 Nougat. Flipkart claims that it will receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update soon.
The Flipkart Billion Capture+ will be available in two variants. The 3 GB RAM model will be priced at Rs 10,999. For 4 GB RAM, you will have to spend Rs 12,999. The phone will be available for purchase from Flipkart starting November 15.
