EXCLUSIVE: Flagship Smartphone Nokia 9 Revealed In 3D Renders

Thanks to the Finnish company HMD Global, Nokia branded smartphones are back. Its existing devices such as Nokia 3, 5, and 6 have already received a good response in budget markets. The recently launched high-end Nokia 8 is powerful yet aggressively priced. But, it is not good enough to take on the mighty Galaxy S8. So it seems HMD is preparing another flagship ‘Nokia 9‘ to fill this gap. And thanks to our frequent collaborator @OnLeaks, we have access to exclusive leaked 3D renders of Nokia 9.

As per the info shared by @OnLeaks, the phone’s dimensions are roughly: 140.9 mm (l) x 72.9 mm (w) x 7.5 mm (d). While it is mostly thin, the camera bump peaks the thickness at 8.9 mm.

As per our sources, Nokia is jumping on the ‘thin bezel’ bandwagon with Nokia 9. We don’t know the exact outline of the screen. However, it does resemble the S8’s edge screen. Rumour has it that, the Nokia 9 will feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED panel with Quad HD resolution. In all likeliness, the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s MSM8998 Snapdragon 835. For Android manufacturers, this is the most powerful chip available at least for now. Even the S8, Note 8, and HTC U11 are based on this SoC (System on Chip). The phone will probably feature 4 GB RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB storage to choose from.

In the photography department, there’s a vertically stacked dual-lens camera. Not sure about the megapixel count, but it should either be 12 or 13. Nokia will choose the tried-and-tested fingerprint sensor rather than experimenting with the face recognition security measure. Since it is a Nokia phone, it will come with bells and whistles such as OZO audio and array of mics for active noise cancellation.

Last but not the least, mobile price is one of the key factors in decision making. However, at this point, we have no clue about the Nokia 9’s pricing. We will keep you posted, as we receive more details on the upcoming phone from the Scandinavia. So keep watching this space.
