The OnePlus 5T will be announced on November 16. That’s an old news. What’s new is that the Chinese company is planning to make some money from this global announcement event. The event, set to be hosted in Brooklyn, New York will be open not only to journalists, but also the company’s fans who are willing to pay $40. If you think Paying 40 dollars to see a company raving about its own phone is a bad idea, you’re absolutely right.
In the official OnePlus forum, company founder Carl Pei, has posted links to buying these tickets for the upcoming event. He states that OnePlus devices are built with the involvement from the fans. Therefore, the company is “inviting” them to the OnePlus 5T launch event. Carl surely does not understand the word “invite”.
The event tickets can be bought from the through the OnePlus 5T launch page. Those not keep on travelling, can watch the live video stream at home or cinema halls. Yes, a few PVR cinema halls would be steaming the event on November 16 at 9:30 PM in India.
