What’s different about these phones, you would ask?
Both Meizu Pro 7 and Meizu Pro 7 Plus feature a secondary E-Ink display right below the rear camera unit. The 2-inch secondary display can replicate the entire main screen. What’s more, it will be a color display, so you can now use the phone both ways. Amazing, isn’t it? However, it could drain your battery.
As per the leaked specifications details, Meizu Pro 7 Plus is most likely to come with a 5.7 inch 4k display with always on technology. This is contrary to some of the earlier leaks which speculated a 5.5 inch display for the plus version. Meizo Pro 7 will come with a 5.2 inch display. You can turn Meizu Pro around and play a game or watch a movie! Isn’t that cool?
Furthermore, the Pro 7 may be powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X30 SoC. It will be 8 GB RAM and 64 GB Storage making it a very awesome device to have in your pocket.
What’s further exciting is that there are two more variants in Pro 7:
- 6GB RAM and 128 GB storage
- 8GB RAM and 128 GB storage
Leaks indicate that Meizu Pro 7 and Meizu Pro 7 plus may feature a 12-Megapixel Sony IMX386 and Sony IMX286 sensors at the back. The front camera will have a 16-Megapixel sensor.
It will come with a Titanium alloy body and will have a ring flash with 10 LEDs at the back.
Another interesting feature is the USB-C, the 24-pin USB connector system. This helps the Meizu Pro 7 Plus and the Meizu Pro 7 to become a host or a device. It can take either role depending on what is detected at the other end. These types of ports are called Dual-Role-Data (DRD). When two such devices are connected, the roles of a host or a device can be randomly assigned. A swap can be commanded from either device.
Now, the most important question that you have in mind – the cost.
The 4GB RAM-64GB storage Meizu Pro 7 Plus is expected to cost around USD 500 (Approx. CNY 3299 & INR 32,500). The 6GB RAM-128GB storage version to be priced at USD 550 (Approx. CNY 3599 & INR 35,500). And the highest variation of 8GB RAM – 128 GB storage will be priced at USD 580 (Approx. CNY 3799 & INR 37,500).
Whereas, the Meizu Pro 7 is speculated to be priced at roughly USD 410 (Approx. CNY 2799 & INR 26,500) and is expected to go as high as USD 560 (CNY 3,299 & INR 36,000) for the top variant.
We have also collated a few more interesting features of the Meizu Pro 7 and 7 Plus, just for you:
