Dell launched a new Chromebook, named Latitude 7410 Enterprise, for its professional userbase. The company claims that this convertible 2-in-1 device will offer the longest battery life among its competitors. Dell has introduced this Chromebook under the Intel’s program focused on new generation PCs, called Project Athena.

 

Dell’s senior VC, Rahul Tikoo, in a statement mentioned that the device is not just any other Chromebook. He added that Dell had used the parts that will benefit both the employees and IT managers, who are shifting their workflow to the ChromeOS.

Latitude 7410 Enterprise: Key specs and features

Dell’s latest Latitude 7410 Chromebook will sport a 4K panel with a screen size of 14”. The device comes equipped with Dell’s own Low Blue Light Display (LBLD) technology that focuses on eye comfort and better reading. The device will be powered by Intel’s 10th gen Core i7 with 16GB DDR4 memory. The company claims to provide the best-in-class software optimization that will run Google Sheets up to 8.6x faster.

 

On the connectivity front, users will get 4G LTE, WiFi 6, 2 USB Type-C ports, 1 HDMI, SIM slot, and a full-size card reader. On opening the lid, the Chromebook will have only a 3 seconds boot time. The apps can be opened either way by using the Chrome browser or downloading it from the Play Store.

 

Dell claims to offer the battery life of a whopping 21 hours with the ExpressCharge support. It can charge this convertible device from 0-35% in 20 minutes or 0-80% in an hour. Latitude 7410 Enterprise also covers the privacy aspect with a physical camera shutter and an optional integrated privacy panel.

 

Pricing and availability

Dell has launched this new Chromebook Latitude 7410 edition in black carbon-fiber and grey machined-aluminum variants. The Chromebook is priced at $1,299 (roughly ₹96,915). There is also an Intel i3 variant lined up, which will be priced at $1,099 (roughly ₹81,993). The pricing for the Indian market isn’t yet announced.
