Firstly, Apple Music will function as your iTunes, only better. The app puts the complete Apple Music catalogue at your feet, or rather fingertips, for your enjoyment. You may listen to any of the over 30 million songs in the library, it may be music you have, or have not bought. The very intelligent Apple voice assist Siri will help the user to find and play their favorite song, or even something like “the biggest song of 2014”. With Siri, playing music will be fun. With Apple Music, the Cupertino based company promises to show just how much they wish to connect with their users, humanly. How do they intend to do that? Apple has hired the best music experts who create playlists based on your preferences. Now real people and not algorithms decide what you will listen to! The ‘For You’ section includes a mix of songs, new releases, and playlists customized for you.

The second feature is Apple Music Radio named “Beats 1”, a live radio station that will broadcast live to over 100 countries. The 24 hour service will be hosted by DJs Zane Lowe in Los Angeles, Julie Adenuga in London and Ebro Darden in New York. Listeners will listen to the same program, irrespective of their location and time zone. It will have exclusive interviews, guest hosts as part of its programming. Curated by its experts, the stations will play genres like folk, indie rock, funk, classical and many more. Members can skip songs as and when they like without changing the dial.

The third feature is called Apple Music Connect. It will serve as a platform wherein artista dn fans can connect. Artists will be able to share lyrics, backstage photos, videos, release their latest song directly to fans through the channel. Apple Music Connect allows the fans to comment on anything that the artist has posted, share it through Facebook, Twitter, Messages, and email. Furthermore, the artists can reply directly to the fan’s comments.

Apple Music will be available on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and PC from June 30 with Apple TV and Android scheduled to receive it soon. The user will be able to get a three month free subscription to Apple Music, after which its $10 a month for an individual subscription or for $15 a month for the family plan that can include up to six people.
