What’s common between Chetan’s Bhagat’s three best selling novels – Five Point Someone, One Night @ The Call Centre and The 3 Mistakes Of My Life? They all have been adapted into Movies. It all started out with the movie ‘Hello’ that was inspired by Bhagat’s second creation ‘One Night @ The Call Centre. Next to follow was 3 Idiots which made its way from the the novel ‘Five Point Someone’. Finally its 3 Mistakes of My Life – a novel that inspired the movie ‘Kai Po Che’. Lets find out a little bit more about the ‘Chetan Bhagat and The Bollywood Connection’.

The 3 Mistakes of My Life

The 3 Mistakes of My Life-Kai Po Che‘Kai Po Che’ the adaption of the book fills in the same characters. Raj Kumar Yadav plays Govind Patel, Amit Sadh as Omi while Ishaan Bhatt is played by Sushant Singh Rajput.  An interesting story line set in the 2000, when the trio decide to start a business that would make them popular. They zeroed down to start up a cricket training academy to produce some of the top cricketers of tomorrow. But, then they have a few hurdles to overcome and that’s what makes the story a lot more interesting.  If you loved the book, the movie surely has a lot in store for you. No doubt, you have another good excuse to stay glued to your couch for 3 precious hours. You got to blame Chetan Bhagat for that.

One Night @ The Call Center

One Night @ The Call Centre-HelloThe novel made its way into Bollywood with the movie ‘Hello’. The story revolves around 6 characters   working in a call center. The movie features Sharman Joshi, Atul Agnihotri, Isha Koppikar, Sharat Saxena, Amrita Arora and Sohail Khan. Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan play the cameo. Their lives change when they receive a phone call from God during a car crash. What happens next is the most interesting part. A good movie to watch out for!! Different yet interesting!

Five Point Someone

Five Point Someone-3 IdiotsLastly, you have the most popular one – the one that inspired the movie ‘3 Idiots’. The cast includes Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Omi Vaidya, Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani, Parikshit Sahni and Kareena Kapoor. The movie is exactly in line with the novel featuring the same characters and of course the same story line. Impeccable blend of humour and curiosity – a perfect one to enjoy with the entire family!!

Apart from the ones listed above, Bhagat has yet another credit to be added to his name.
