Along with the Xperia XA2, Sony launched the Sony launched the Xperia L2. The L2 is a budget smartphone that falls in the lower end of the price spectrum. The Xperia L2 comes with a matte polycarbonate body as opposed to the metal on the XA2. It sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1280 pixels. It gets Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The device has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. The Xperia L2 comes in single and dual-SIM variants and supports 4G connectivity.
While the bigger siblings get Snapdragon power, the Xperia L2 makes do with a Mediatek MT6737T which is a quad-core processor coupled with Mali-T720MP2. The phone is equipped with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot. On the photography front, it sports a 13 MP f/2.0 rear camera coupled with an LED flash. The selfie shooter is an 8 MP module with a wide lens.
Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, FM radio, and 3.5 mm audio jack. The phone has essential sensors such as the accelerometer, proximity, and compass. The Xperia L2 runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 and is powered by a 3300 mAh Li-Ion battery under its hood. It will come in Black, Gold, and Pink colour options to choose from when it goes on sale. Speaking of which, Sony has not shared it pricing details yet.
