Budget Android 4.4 KitKat Galaxy Smartphones launched by Samsung

samsungfourbudgetgalaxysmartphonesIn an attempt to add on to the list of budget smartphones, the Korean Manufacturer Samsung has launched four new android phones. Even as the curtains on these products have been pulled up, the details on the availability of the products is yet to be revealed by the Company. These budget phones- Samsung Galaxy Core II, Galaxy Ace 4, Galaxy Young 2 and Galaxy Star 2– belong to the Company’s mid-range and entry-level smartphone portfolio and run Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with the company’s TouchWiz Essence UI on top. The Galaxy Core II, Galaxy Star 2, and Galaxy Young 2 are dual-SIM devices, while the Galaxy Ace 4 is a single SIM device and has been launched in 3G and LTE variants with slightly different specifications from each other.

Among these four new launches, the pricing of only three has been revealed by Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy Core II is priced at EUR 179 (approximately Rs. 14,500), while Galaxy Ace 4 is priced at EUR 219 (approximately Rs. 17,800) and Galaxy Young 2 is priced at EUR 99 (approximately Rs. 8,000) in Europe.

Among the four phones, Samsung Galaxy Core II is the most powerful phone with its 4.5-inch WVGA display, 768MB of RAM, 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 2000 mAh battery. Meanwhile, Galaxy Young 2 is the successor to the company’s previously launched Galaxy Young and has 3.5-inch HVGA display, 1GHz single-core processor, 1300 mAh battery and 512MB of RAM. The most affordable among the lot, Galaxy Star 2 has 3.5-inch HVGA display and 1GHz processor while the last product-Galaxy Ace 4 sports a 4-inch WVGA display and is powered by 1.2GHz dual-processor.

Samsung Galaxy Core II will be available in white and black colours with 5-megapixel rear camera, and VGA front camera while Galaxy Ace 4 that will also sport 5-megapixel rear camera, and VGA front camera, will be available in Iris Charcoal and classic white colours. Meanwhile, both Galaxy Young 2 that comes with 3-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera and Galaxy star 2 that sports 2-megapixel fixed focus rear camera will be available in Iris Charcoal and classic white colours.
