After Reliance JIO, Now BSNL Also Launches Unlimited Calls For Just Rs. 144by Sayli Jadhav January 2, 2017
After a lot of mobile phone companies that were at war to launch the best smartphone at the most affordable price, Telecom providers are next in the line. After Reliance Jio took over and created instant popularity with its schemes at low prices, a lot of telecom companies lost customers and business. In a race to catch-up with this, a lot of telecom companies are now launching their pocket-friendly schemes. BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.) is on it too. The State-owned Telecom Company is trying its best not to lose its customers by giving away some amazing benefits to them.
Earlier BSNL launched a new plan that allows free voice calling to BSNL networks. Considering the offers from other telecom competitors, keeping free calls limited to their network wasn’t exactly the best. In a move to step up their game, BSNL now allows you to make free calls to all other networks as well. The Plan allows free Local and STD calls with six-month validity and a 300 MB Data limit too. This offer is available at a tempting price of just INR 144.
Although Jio offers a better plan with 4G data up to 1GB per day and free voice calls, the offer is limited up till 31st March only. For all those who want to avoid the hassles that are a part of the Portability process, BSNL offers a great plan. The move was made to make sure that BSNL does not lose any more of its customers.
The state-owned Telecom Company has also set up over 4,400 Wi-Fi hotspots all over the country, and the number is expected to grow up to 10 times this year. In a world where privately owned companies are doing all that they can to keep and gather more customers, BSNL is trying its best to stay in the game and offer more for its users.
Being a State-owned network, BSNL has also been active in trying to set up their network and increase connectivity in rural areas. It has obtained over 2500MHz from the state government to launch its services in rural areas too. BSNL is expected to launch its LTE spectrum in phases over time.
Hopefully, this move will be a benefit for consumers and a nudge to other telecom companies to provide cheaper calls to their customers too.
