Blu, is an American budget smartphone brand. Like Micromax, it provides feature-packed devices at a lower price. Recently, it updated its Vivo series of smartphones. Not to be confused with the Chinese smartphone brand Vivo. Blu’s new device is the Vivo 8L comes with an elegant design and aluminum construction.
The phone cuts corners in terms of raw power though. The Blu Vivo 8L is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 chipset. The phone features a compact 5.3-inch HD screen. It is protected by a slightly curved Gorilla Glass 3.
The budget phone uses 13 MP sensor from Sony. It has f2.0 aperture and an LED flash. Blu has given more importance to the selfie camera. It comes with a 20 MP sensor and a front-firing LED flash. The selfie camera also comes with Beautified video mode, which provides 7 level beauty adjustments effects to your selfie videos.
The phone has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of Internal storage. There’s a microSD card slot too. The phone comes with a 4,000 mAh battery with quick charge.
On the software front, the Blu Vivo 8L offers Android 7.0 Nougat. It boasts of better background optimisation to minimise RAM use by system and apps. Project Vulkan API, a new 3D rendering API for 3D graphics. The Blue Vivo 8L is currently available on Amazon for $150 (approx. Rs 10,000).
