Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 will be available for sale in India from 10th of May. The smartphone sale kicked off on Flipkart last week, but the phone ran out of stock due to heavy demand.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is expected to compete with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro as they belong to the sub-Rs. 15,000 category and are powered by the same chipset. While Asus has confirmed that it has received an overwhelming response to the phone, the details of the sales in the pre-orders is not yet available.

Asus claims there has been a great response to the phone from the people. However, it did not give out any details about the number of units sold in the pre-orders.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 will come in three variants. The variant packed with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage comes at a price of Rs. 10,999. The 4GB RAM + 64 GB storage is priced at Rs 12,999. The variant which packs the best features of 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage is priced at Rs 14,999. The release date of this variant has not yet been announced.

The Zenfone Max Pro is powered by the Android Oreo 8.1. It features a dual Nano SIM and a 5.99-inch Full HD+ IPS full view display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The aspect ratio of the screen is 18:9. The smartphones are powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC with Adreno 509 GPU. For its price range, it offers great value.

The phones have been designed well with a very thin-bezel display and a dual-rear camera setup. It features a 13-megapixel primary Omnivision sensor with f/2.2 aperture along with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The front camera boasts of an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 85.5-degree wide-angel view and a five-piece lens. The sensors also possess ambient light sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor and the smartphones also have a fingerprint sensor at the rear.

The smartphone will be powered with a 5,000 mAh battery. The Zenfone Max Pro M1 will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of connectivity, it can seamlessly connect using   Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS, micro USB, WiFi 802.11 /b/g/n and 4G VoLTE.
